En un procedimiento en conjunto entre efectivos de la Policía Federal y del Batallón de Frontera de la Policía Militar, decomisaron 25 mil gruesas de cigarrillos de la marca “Eight” , que son producidos por Tabacalera del Este S.A. (TABESA), que es una de las empresas del titular del Partido Colorado, Horacio Cartes. Toda la carga se llevo por el Lago de Itaipú, usando puertos clandestinos.
Las 25 mil gruesas de cigarrillos de la marca “Eight”, estaban en un camión que fue abandonado en una zona rural del municipio de Mercedes, que linda con el Lago de Itaipú, en el lado brasileño.
Los efectivos policiales indicaron que están siguiendo al camión. El conductor se dio cuenta y lo abandono, huyendo en medio de una plantación.
En el interior del camión había 25 mil gruesas de cigarrillos de la marca “Eight”, que es la marca “estrella” de TABESA, propiedad del ex presidente de la República, y actual titular del Partido Colorados, Horacio Cartes. La tabacalera es manejada por José Ortiz Escauriza.
Toda la carga se llevo a través de puertos clandestinos que pululan a orillas del embalse de la usina Binacional.
