La Policía Federal y efectivos del Batallón de Frontera de la Policía Militar del Brasil informaron que incautaron cerca de 500 kilos de marihuana en un puerto clandestino no muy lejos del Puente de la Amistad, donde esta la base de la Armada paraguaya. La droga fue llevada desde la margen paraguaya del río Paraná, y tuvo que haber cruzado frente a los marinos al mando del capital de navío, Pablo Francisco Barros Pereira. Dos personas, serían paraguayos, fueron detenidos.
El procedimiento fue en la madrugada de este viernes 18, de acuerdo a los informado por las autoridades brasileñas.
Los efectivos del Núcleo de Operaciones Marítimas (Nepom) de la Policía Federal y del Batallón de Frontera de la Policía Militar del Estado de Paraná, estaban realizando un monitoreamiento del río Paraná cuando se percataron que una embarcación zarpo de la margen paraguaya del mencionado cauce hídrico.
Esperaron que se dirija hacia la costa brasileña y allí intervinieron. Llegaron a un puerto clandestino donde dos personas, quienes serian paraguayos, fueron detenidos.
Luego de verificar la carga encontraron que eran 487 kilos de marihuana.
Esta droga tuvo que haber pasado casi frente a los marinos paraguayos quienes tienen su base casi al costado del Puente de la Amistad.
El capitán de navío, Pablo Francisco Barros Pereira, es el comandante del Area Naval del Este, cuya gestión es muy cuestionado atendiendo a que aumento las actividades ilegales en la frontera.
Este no es un procedimiento aislado. Está sucediendo en forma más frecuente, lo que deja en claro que los efectivos de la Armada paraguaya no están cumpliendo con su misión de custodiar la frontera.
