Un vehículo al servicio de taxi, con chapa paraguaya CFX-858, perteneciente a la parada 20 Radio Taxi de Ciudad del Este, fue encontrado abandonado en la barranca del río Paraná, en el lado brasileño. El conductor del rodado denunció que le robaron el mismo cuanto estaba transportando a turistas a Foz. El robo fue en horas de la tarde del lunes 15, y el hallazgo en horas de la noche.
Los datos de la Policía Militar de Foz de Yguazú indican que el vehículo taxi paraguayo estaba en barranca del río Paraná, al final de la denominada avenida Beira Río, cerca de la planta de tratamiento de agua de SANEPAR.
El rodado estaba con las puertas abiertas y vacío. Esto ocurrió en horas de la noche del lunes 15.
Ese mismo día, en horas de la tarde, el conductor del rodado denunció que dos asaltantes le robaron el vehículo cuando estaba transportando a turistas brasileños quienes fueron a realizar compras en el comercio de Ciudad del Este.
Los uniformados indicaron que estaban realizando un patrullaje preventivo en la zona cuando encontraron el vehículo, que luego fue llevado a la sede de la Policía Civil de Foz, para los trámites de rigor.
